The big benefit for us is having all 3 seats across the bench. Expedition is one of the few vehicles that has 3 sets of car seat anchors. If you had 2 car seats, you could put seats on edge on center, leaving a seat open If needed.
All 3 of my kids are within 2 years of each other. So lots of...
Would be nice. I haven't found one yet, although I swapped out the captains chairs for bench until my kids outgrow their carseats. Way easier for me to buckle/unbuckle from middle row. I kept the bucket seats to revert back one day. Not sure when that will be, though.
Will keep an eye on...
In my case, I did the dreaded spark plugs and coils replacement ( and lucky for me it turned out the change was easy) but it didn't fix the shudder. Wasn't until that point that I went to tyranny fluid swap. I didn't think a $5 bottle of Friction additive could get rid of that awful and...
Also, FWIW, I dropped the pan for my tranny and it was a nightmare. My truck must have been modified, because it took gymnastics to get it to clear some hoses that didn't show up in the videos I watched on Youtube. Also the tranny filter I bought did not fit, so I only swapped out the fluid and...
Lube Gard Instant Shudder Fix is $7-9, then use a 20% off coupon to drop price down at Advance Auto.
All I did as a test was to add some to my transmission (Was only able to pour in about 1/2 a bottle. Took for a test drive, it "fixed" problem instantly. At that point, I realized the fluid...
I voted shudder fix & tranny fluid swap. I used the shudder fix additive to test if that was indeed the problem. Added the $5 bottle of solution and sure enough, shudder disappeared instantly.
After that, decided to swap out the tranny fluid for more permanent fix. That was 2 years and...
Brilliant! I ran into this same issue, bought a generic fuel pump unit from Advance Auto Parts because that was only one available in the area. Truck stopped running and I had 1 day to get fixed before I headed out of town for a week and had to get truck running again. Lesson learned: Stick...
My 2007 Expedition Limited 2WD and I get about 20-21 mpg on the highway if I put cruise control at 70 mph. I get around 19 mpg at 80mph on cruise control. I can get up to 22 mpg if I go between 60 and 65 mph
Very nice! My 2007 Limited looks very similar, particularly the seat tear on driver seat. I'm around 175,000 miles right now though. Hoping I can surprise 200,000 miles as well.
Wow! In city driving, I get around 13mpg and I drive very gently in my 2007 5.4L. Highway and trips I get up to 21 mpg.
I'll need to remember to change my air filter when I get back from my work trip.
I second this. Try the transmission fluid swap (simple drain and replace, not a flush). That did the trick for me. Swapped out fluid in mine about 18 months ago when I was having problems, haven't had a single issue since. No more stuttering, truck still drives smooth as silk now about...
My headlights were the first thing I switched out when I got my Expy 2 years ago. I went with Anzo and have been very happy with them. They aren't as good as higher end HID headlights , but they are very good and look great...
That's what I've done for the last 2 years and it worked out fine (gave me a workout every day to get the kids in/out of the car to/from daycare), but when we took family trips to the store that configuration didn't leave much room for stroller or groceries
With middle bench, I now leave the...
We have 3 car seats in the middle row. I actually just bought a 3-seat "bench" style in my 2007 Expedition (got them out of a 2011 Expy) and swapped out my 2nd row Captains seats because we have 3 kiddos in carseats (ages 3.5, 2.5 and 1.5) and every day required me to jump into the back of the...
