This is just for those people who tried to figure out how to do this on a second generation and don't find the info the want. - You can replace it without disconnecting the AC. Coolant crossover replacement.
In my experience, no you cannot. There is a stud with 2 bolts that is impossible to get to without pulling the intake. Even than I was not able to get the bolts off. I gave up on the whole process and ran heater hose instead of the pipe. I removed the lines for the heater throttle body and PCV...- Dutch

Coolant leaking in valley of engine. (2003 5.4 2v and 4.6)
Just in case anybody else runs into this: I had a coolant leak dripping on the passenger side of the transmission. Source turns out to be a puddle in the valley of the engine. 2003 5.4 shutters between 1200 and 1800 rpm
Latest update; All 8 coils and plugs haven now been changed out. And apparently "changing the plugs" does not mean changing all plugs at some places. Quick update; Problem reappeared again. ECU showed it was now misfiring on cylinder one , so swapping the coils made the problem swap cylinders. As the new coils came in today, I swapped out number one for a fresh one straight away. We'll see how long it will last. The rest of the coils and...- Dutch
