    If you find a switch that has 2wd and auto4,4hi, 4low and it works let me know. I have the same truck and would like to do the same. If that dont work, it is said you can cut the brown wire by the transfer case and put a switch and it should work. I havent tried it yet, but I read on here...

    I was woundering if there was a way to switch the auto 4WD to a 2WD, Auto, 4HI, 4Low? I read on here that you can cut the brown wire underneith to turn it off, but I dont want to turn it off all the time.

    I have the same problem on my 2000. Where I get my oil changed the guy said he has seen it alot on Expys. Must be a design flaw.
