Thinking about a 2012 limited (not EL)

Thanks - weird the build sheet didn't show it, but the sticker does. Also came with the HD tow package and it sounds like about 11,200 tow capacity. I'm lacking some room, but with only one kid and one dog the supercrew should do for the next few years and the towing issue won't be a concern...

Don't be sorry - it was pretty quick. If I run the vin through this: FordEtis home page It shows these options (as I posted above) With Heavy Duty Trailer Towing With Front Towing Hook With Trailer Sway Control (TSC) 3.31 Heavy Duty Aux Trans Oil Cooler With Super Engine...

Thinking about a 2012 limited (not EL)

Can someone confirm the above two quotes please. I'm looking to buy this one (below, it's a 2011) and need to be sure it'll tow up to the max 9,200. I'm not going that high, but like the cushion. Anything it's missing that I should care about? Going to test drive today. Here's a link to it...

Thinking about a 2012 limited (not EL)

Really? Is that on the 3rd Gens? When shopping for the last one (05 EB) it seemed that was one of my fails (of many), the 3.31 vs. 3.73. Has something changed between Gen 1 and Gen 2? Actually finding that with the Chv/GM itineration's too. The 6 speed automatic seems to lesson the need for...

    Expy died on me today!

Fair enough. I apologize if I misinterpreted your post.

Hmmm... Seem to have lost all my friends with that one ;) Still on the fence, looking at the regular length expy limited's now too. That said, I thought they all (Limited's) had max towing capacity although it seems some have the 3.23 or 3.43 vs. the 3.73? This is getting exhausting.

Yeah that's fair, because everyone should know everything technical about their vehicle and not post here if they don't.

Thanks - leaning towards an 12 burb, with 90k on it. LT - Z71, no electronic shocks, or electronic air suspension. Off road suspension package, HD trailering package, oil cooler, tranny cooler, locking rear diff, brake controller, 3.42 rear axel ratio, etc. Bought the 05 expy with...

Thinking I'm going to pull the trigger on a 12 suburban, LT Z71. It's got 56,000 (miles), 3.42 gear ratio, HD Cooling package, locking rear, tranny cooler, trailer brake controller, 160 amp alternator, off road suspension package (no air suspension), HD trailering equipment, weight dist...

Thinking about a 2012 limited (not EL)

Thanks - it's actually an 2011, just was built in the latter part of 2010 which is why the date makes it look like a 10. That said, I thought the 07's were 3rd gen and as such wouldn't have plug issues? I just dumped my 05, not getting a gen 2 or anything close :) Leaning that way too -...

Lol, missed this one. Dumped my expy after countless problems. :( Was an 50 EB. Now looking at 2011/12s a limited or limited max Although now wondering if I want to tie up that much cash. Also thinking about a suburban, Yukon, Armada, and just recently saw an 07 navigator for 10k less...

Any thoughts on this? I'm looking for HD Tow package to pull the max weight of the expy. Also noticed no limited slip diff. Given I live in a snowy climate should this be a concern?
