    Ticking in '07 w/48k miles

Video of ticking. As I've read in other places, it seems this is the standard. Noise comes form driver side towards the back of the engine.

    Ticking in '07 w/48k miles

I'll take a video and post it later on today. As a Ford TBS I read on the subject noted, it is more noticeable in a confined area such as a drive through, or while driving with windows down next to a barrier or something that can reflect sound. Can't hear it too much if I'm in a wide open road...

    Seat help

Have you checked car-parts.com I just did a search using a SLC zip and a couple of places showed up. that's how I was able to locate a few interior pieces. Called the place, went to pick them up and they pulled for me. In fact, while there I scored a couple of other pieces that I happen to see...

    Ticking in '07 w/48k miles

Since I got the SSV back in October I have not driven it too much due to me gutting the interior and redoing it for more mere human comfort. But I knew since I got it that there was that ticking noise in the engine. This past week I drove it for some time, mostly to enable the monitors for smog...

    SSV console wiring

Essentially. I did the same thing on my '07 SSV. All wires/patches/equipment/antennas/fuse boxes/whatever that didn't belong went out. I literally gutted the truck. Took out all moldings, all plastic side panels inside, seats, vinyl covering. Did not take out headliner. That's a project for the...

    Etis build sheet decryption

Uh oh... thanks for the link but that created a few more questions. I see there are several options that I could have, but not included, yet the wiring is there and present. For example, the passenger seat with the electric motors and wiring. Also, in the back of my radio bezel, at the top row...

    Etis build sheet decryption

So here's the build sheet of my '07 SSV. A great deal of things I understand but some I am unclear about and some don't appear to be correct. Will highlight each of the questionable items and hoping that someone will chime in with info/comments. Medium Light Stone Interior Beck (D) - what is...

I think I screwed up my climate control

Mystery solved. All fuses OK. So I bought a power indicator screwdriver style and went hunting. Surprisingly, it turned out that fuse 37 next to the passenger footwell doesn't make contact. I realized it when I was touching the exposed contact with the power indicator and nothing would happen...

I think I screwed up my climate control

I don't have a voltmeter, mine died some time ago. In case someone knows, in the BJB does power come in from the front or from the back? Front meaning closer to grille. Also, on the internal fuse box, is it the same? Front or back?

I think I screwed up my climate control

Thanks, will check and report back.

I think I screwed up my climate control

Was trying to install aftermarket heated seats. Elements are already in the seats and I bought those fuse tap or piggybacks that plugs into the fuse box and has its own two plugs for original and new fuse. I figured the better place to piggyback this into would be the climate control. There...

What can I do to my 07 SSV?

Yes, doors were indeed white. I see a great deal of former police cars from auctions and such and all of them have had the doors painted white. Mostly it's just drivers and passengers but sometimes all doors are white.

What can I do to my 07 SSV?

So far everything is still in pieces. Most of the molding and plastic covers are out of the car. Seats are out too. Wires everywhere. I've done work on cars before but nothing to this extent. I'm pretty much learning as I go. Youtube helps a great deal too. Though I'm figuring out stuff on my...

Is there a POWERFUL, high-spec android head unit option?

A generic tablet from 2010 had a single core 500 MHz rockchip processor. Things have changed significantly. On a 7 inch screen (assuming that's what you're wanting) there's no visual difference between 1080 and 600 resolution.
