Welcome to the site.

The water pump is on the front of the engine, leaks from it will not show up in the back of the engine. Most of the coolant leaks are attributed to leaking heater hoses where they connect to the heater core, a coolant pipe that runs in the valley under the intake manifold and head gaskets.

A looonnnggg time ago I had a water leak from the back of an engine and it sadly turned out to be a leaking freeze plug UNDER the bell housing.:flame:

Whiteghost what are you using for coolant? If you are running straight tap water, a rusted out freeze plug is a possibility.
