08 Expy Chewed Wire

I have a wire that I'm unsure what it does. Just noticed it when I went to change oil. It's right next to the COPs on the driver side, coming off that harness. No issues whatsoever with the car, so it must be something non-essential.

Anyone have ideas?

Also, any ideas on keeping mice out? It seems hopeless living in the country, but worth a shot.

I don't know offhand and don't have the '08 wiring diagrams (camshaft position sensor? guessing), but I would suggest replacing it. You should replace that hose too before you end up with a major catastrophe. It's clearly way, way past needing replacement. lol

As for the mice, the best way to keep them out is to drive your truck regularly. I live out in the country also and the only time I find any signs of mice is when I let the vehicle sit for a week or more.

Do you have an idea of what that hose is? It's got a part number: FoMoCo 7L3E-6k817 but google cant find anything even close.

As far as the sensor, the wires are too short to splice, so I'm needing a part number for that too, if anyone knows it.

I've found the hose. It's a PCV hose I guess. The cracking is just the insulation on the outside. Hose seems fine.

As far as that sensor, I really need to get one located. There's basically no way to splice it. I've added a few pictures to see if anyone can help out. It's got 2 wires that run from the wiring harness up across the rails and then into the engine body itself.
