looking for an upgrade for my brakes to some heavy duty ones due to a lot of towing. Was wondering what everyone has used liked/disliked?

I got the HD Powerstop ones from Rockauto. I really like them.

They are a little different in that there isn't a ton of initial bite, but then they really grab. It takes a little getting used to. But they are smooth and I feel no vibrations or anything like the OEM Rotors that were warping.

Was that the z36 drilled and slotted kit? I was looking at them as well. Did you do the calipers as well?

No on the calipers. The stockers are fine, just cleaned them up. I still need to do the rears (its just been too hot outside) and then I want to bleed the whole system with some fresh brake fluid.

I haven't investigated braided stainless lines, but I do like the firm peddle feel they gave me on other vehicles I owned.

I have Hawk LTS and Centric black hat rotors. Good firm feel and stopping although mine squeal when they get hot.

I had the Power Stop performance package front and rear. Started making grinding noises after about 3 yrs. Inside slots filled up with the pad junk and gouged the rotor. Couldn't see the mess unless you took the rotor off. I'd stick with the standard type solid rotors and pads. My opinion only.
