Wondering how many of you removed the door moldings? I know someone did it on the thunder build and he used an eraser wheel but I have a polisher machine that I can't switch out or change Heads, or at least I don't think I can. It's a black and Decker 7 in polisher. Wondering if the residue and glue left over will come off using a compound wax or goo gone or wd40 or any other tricks. I want to replace it with just a simple white moulding strip or leave off depending on how nice it comes off and shines up. Any tricks or tips will help. Thanks.

You'll want to use a drill with the eraser wheel, not your polisher. I've seen them used on 90° angle grinders but usually those run at a much higher RPM and can lead to burn marks. Variable speed drill, electric or cordless, will give you the most control and will remove the glue residue 100X faster than anything else.

Thanks, that will work. I'll use my cordless drill. Got to pick up a new battery for it being the charge doesn't last very long anymore with my original batteries on my Hitachi drill.

I forgot that I do have a duel action head with a side handle from mcguires that works with the drill. Wondering if I get an eraser head for the DA wheel can I use that or just get one that attaches straight to the drill which won't be DA. Just don't want to burn the paint underneath.

I finally removed the door moldings. Used a heat gun, some fishing line and pulled them off. Washed the truck, used a eraser wheel and some goo gone to wipe down after. Compound then polished. Used fishing line to start it off but was able to just pull them off the rest of the way easily.
