Help!! Dealership doesn’t know what’s wrong

Just heard back from the dealership a few mins ago. He said that there is low compression and that I will need a new engine. They said that they don’t know exactly what is causing the low compression without completely breaking the engine down and checking it but that would cost alone $2500. He said it would just be easier to get a new engine. Now the fight is with my warranty company because they now have to research and give a call back before they can approve or not.

You guys have all gave great suggestions. Thank y’all so much. Had it towed to a non dealership local mechanic. Ran compression tests. Said low compression on 2 cylinders. Told me the same thing as the dealership. Can go into to see what is exactly causing it but it could be anything and would be easier to get a new engine.

It ran great for almost a year until the first check engine light for spark plugs about a month ago. I don’t drive aggressively with it. I’ve had 2 other used expys and I used to drive straight through any cel until they would start flashing. Wanted to do the right thing with this expy and it’s been very time consuming and possibly expensive.
