So just to let you guys know I have a 4R70W in my truck. I called Ford and gave them my VIN. Also while in the process of pulling my trans I saw on the crossmember that holds the tranny up engraved on the back side it says "4R70W". Figured I would pass it on.
Just to let you know pulling a...
So I have a 2003 Eddie Bauer 4x4 w/5.4L. I was curious what transmission is in this thing? Is it a 4R70W?
I am asking because I believe the trans just went out on. It was nose diving once it got up to around 30 mph. Almost like it was hitting the brakes. Then I found a parking spot, then...
I am in New Mexico now. The seats are still in my house that is now rented. I will be coming back to Florida sometime in September. PM me if you want to try and work something out.
I had gotten these for my 97 Expo but the bolt patterns are not the same. I pulled these came out of a 2000 EB. I had posted these up for sale a long time ago but nothing ever worked out and forgot about them in my attic. So I will try again. Asking $200. I will not ship these.
I have only seen plastic ones for my 5.4. Never have come across metal ones, don't think I would want to use them either since it would be metal on metal. The bolts that hold the guides in place could have worked loose and been the cause of breakage.
Does the cruise and horn still work? When my clock spring was gone nothing in the steering wheel would work anymore. The dealer price was about $75 the last time I checked.
Motorcrafts are going to be expensive. NGK's will work just fine. I run them in my supercharged Camaro as well. Trust me they will work out.
A plug is a plug is a plug. :)
Pulling the heads is just time consuming not overly difficult. Its the timing chains and all the associated crap in the front that has to come off first to get the head off thats difficult.
Did the 97's come with a temp display? If they did does anyone happen to know what wires it uses? The schematics I have are not much help on the 97's. Thanks
There is no mathcing those up at a parts store. They are a dealer specific line, trust me. Since they have the flex hose built into them its a speacial type of line. Go to the dealership and get them. Just tell them the make and model of you truck, or give them your VIN and they should be able...
I just got done doing this on my 97. I used these fans Amazon.com: PROCOMP DUAL 16" INCH ELECTRIC COOLING RADIATOR FAN KIT: Automotive
I did not purchase through amazon. I called the company direct so that I could get their adjustable controller...
I just got done replacing all my brake lines on my 97. The only ones that I bought from the dealer where the 2 lines going from the master cylinder to the ABS block. All the lines coming out of the ABS block I made myself. Its not to difficult to handle. You really do not need a diagram, just...
