    all 8 spark plugs, injector, PCV vacuum line, thermostat, 02 sensor......all to pass the stupid state emissions test. On the plus side, my CEL is finally out (for now) and I'm hoping for a decent bump in MPG

    I second the ebay route. Like a dumbass, I miscalculated the room in my garage and cracked my driver side backing out just prior to state inspection time :-( Ordered a pair of new/aftermarket replacement heated/power off ebay for ~$50 inc shipping.

    That sounds an aweful lot like the usual Windshield leaking onto the GEM module under the dash. The seal tends to go bad on the factory windshield and after a while will start to accumulate water inside and drip onto the electronics on the driver side under the dash.     Same deal happened on mine. The epoxy lasted less than a day of use before it failed. I ended up running 2 short screws through the spring into the back of the tray where the plastic mounting pins were located anyway. That's been rock solid since.
