    Struts

I replaced my wife's Navigator stuts with KYBs. Very happy with them. Firmer than stock, but not harsh.

    Parts that last

I used a Dorman replacement window regulator 749-543. They used to be very marginal at best. The window regulator appears to be greatly improved over the 2010 OEM installed one. It seemed more rigid, had reinforcements and improved cable guides. VERY happy with it. I don't cheap out on critical...

    Missing caps

I'm not clear on the year of your Expedition other than 07 to present. With that said, however, RockAuto has them listed under "Brake/Wheel/Hub" then "Caliper Guide Pin Boot Kit" Those for a 07-09 are only $6.98 plus shipping. In case you're not familiar, click the part number, and a fitment...

Planning a Long Drive - What should I take with me?

I have a Lincoln Navigator with similar mileage and wouldn't hesitate to drive long distance at all. Remember, they are essentially an F-150 with extra seats. By that, I mean they are identical in many ways to the rugged work trucks that are used day after day in the worst environments with few...

    Maps/Sync update...... TOO MUCH MONEY!!

I bought the update for my wife's Navigator. It seemed a total waste of time and money. I had anticipated the possibility of slightly improved graphics or user features. It's the same 1996 looking map! The other thing that surprised me is that I keep getting letters to renew it months afterward!

    2016 Floor Mats

You might consider a roll of mat material and create your own by making a template from builders paper (available at any big box home improvement store). I used this material in my wife's Navi for the rears..... Rubber Cal Rubber-Cal Diamond-Plate Rubber Floor Mats - 1/8 x 48-inch Rubber...

    HVAC blower motor out again!

I've replaced a few also, but thanks to Motorcraft's warranty (24 months) and RockAuto, I'm only out a little shipping.

    HVAC blower motor out again!

Did you perform the ground wire upgrade TSB 08-9-1? Mine was blowing out often until I did the upgrade. Its easily done yourself. You don't really need the Ford "kit"

    08 Expy EL XLT - some questions/help

Put Homelink in my Escape. Put it in my dash near my right knee since a retro for the visors was too complex. Even though it's buried low in the car near a sheet stell plate, the range is good. It works well.

    What do y'all think?

Those wheels look great. They might look even better in the Dark Grey that I've seen on the new F-150s.

    Engine Rattle/Knock

Once you fix it PLEASE STOP USING MOBIL 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The crap they sell at the store is NOT the same as the racing oil. Lots of Chevy LS engines have catastrophic failures with it. Look on Bob the Oil Guy forums. WalMart Motorcraft oil is inexpensive and OEM.

07 Expedition Limited with intermittent A/C

May be the ground problem that others have had (including myself). I did my own ground mod and did NOT buy any parts, but used wire and connectors I already had. REFER TO Technical Service Bulletin ........ 08-9-1 EATC BLOWER INTERMITTENTLY INOPERATIVE - STUCK ON HIGH/OFF Publication...

    Drivers side window broken: Check!

I used a Dorman from RockAuto. I agree that some of their items are marginal (control arms, ball joints, tie-rod ends) The window regulators, however, are an improvement from stock. The body seemed beefier and more rigid. The cable guides were also better.More Information for DORMAN 749543

    Spark Plugs Causing Engine Jerk?

Congratulations! Happy motoring Kyle. I don't think the COPS or plugs are a "problem" if you consider how often we used to have to change wires and plugs. You got your plugs at the right time. COPS turn south at 120k plus miles and are EASY to install.

    Rotor job cost

That's a good price. NAPA here is $85 each with tax just for rotors. (I don't tend to shop the other stores as their quality is hit or miss). They would not be drilled and slotted.

New to me Expedition and some ramblings

Plugs SP 515 appears to be the 2 piece design. I'd go with the SP 509. I recommend a long thin nozzle to blow out the spark plug recesses before you try to loosen/remove the plugs.

New to me Expedition and some ramblings

Yes actuators that are hanging up would cause binding as that is how the truck goes into 4WD. Mileage will also drop when they are engaged. Your plugs should NOT be the 2 piece nightmares. I've changed both. All are doable, but the 2 piece take about 8 hours. The others maybe 3 hours or less.

    Future Expedition

Nobody mentioned the PREMIUM fuel for the EcoPuke. I'm old-school and have yet to meet anyone that loves the V6 in their F-150. Maintenance costs are also likely to be MUCH higher for the twin turbo darling. I'll need to see soem with 250k miles like the V8s before I'm convinced. (I have a 2010...

2007 Expedition in the Netherlands - shudders and vibrations ... (help ?)

New spark plugs, boot kit and COPS (Coil On Plug) can remedy a lot of engine vibration. These engines are quite sensitive. RockAuto in the US is a good source for parts. Use Motorcraft plugs. Obviously they won't cure a driveline issue, but engine stutters caused by a bad COP are not uncommon...

    suspension replacment

KYB struts are excellent as well. RockAuto has them as well as Ranchos. The Ranchos come as an assembly and allow you to lift the truck to varying heights.

New to me Expedition and some ramblings

    1. While driving on a long streach of road where the only hills are the overpasses/bridges, the transmission would occasionally drop a gear in cruise control. I know must cars do this to maintain speed on an incline but when not in cruise control I would not feel this shift pattern. Normal...

2008 fleet model XLT, add third row seat?

I had a 2007 Expedition SPV (Police version). All the mounting lugs are present. In fact, the Cargo Tray that replaced the third row was bolted in with the Grade 8 fasteners that would attach the seat. I suggest Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market for the third row. You can search by color...
