I wish I got that good of gas mileage in mine, to be fair though I do a lot of towing though. I've gotten anywhere from about 8mpg up to maybe 13 at best. Definitely not the most fuel efficient vehicles around
Ok, so my tires are starting to get low on tread and winter is coming just around the corner. Looking at several different tires. The 3 I'm looking at are Dick Cepek Fun country, Cooper Discoverer A/T, and BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2. Leaning towards the BFGoodrich at the moment. Wondering...
Sounds like what mine did not to long after buying it. Mine was at about 130k. I eventually paid to get them replaced & that fixed the problem. I think I paid $400 to have it done, wish I would've spent the extra $50 to have the Ford dealership do it as I had the issue come back and after...
Well, I got the passenger side changed out Friday night. Only problem I ran into was the bottom bolt not wanting to come out. Almost like the thread was getting hung up, would slide back and forth easily just refused to come out all the way. Ended up just cutting the bolt off and pushing it out...
So, you guys think something like this would be a good replacement?

I've got a 2005 xlt that I use for both my daily driver & work. Roughly 80-90% of the time is towing a car hauler which has an empty weight of roughly 2000lbs & gets loaded with anywhere between 2000 and 5000lbs on any given day.........Now before you guys get your panties in a bunch, I know...
I guess I'll Start form the beginning to avoid any confusion. So I bought the expy with 119,800 miles. It had a few minor non related issues, but the motor and trans seem as they should. Oil was a little dirty, but not black. etc etc. after a couple thousand miles I slowly started to notice it...
I'm not sure what you mean by pinging, But it did seem to struggle more often while maintaining speed up hill. Also would be much much worse pulling my car hauler around; had very little power. I did replace my fuel filter this past winter, so that shouldn't be a problem.
I told O'Reilys make...
Think I found the problem.... The first thing I did after swapping the coil pack was replace the fuel injector as Adieu suggested. Figured it was a simple thing, so why not. This did not help at all, but after some more research I did find out that the 2005's 5.4L had a recall awhile
back with...
Code P0306 is showing up again with blinking Engine light. Very sluggish especially while pulling trailer. I tried swapping another coil pack into cylinder 6 as I thought the one I bought may have been defective, but it continues to do the same thing. Please help! What else would you guys try?
Yesterday I just decided to run to O'Reilly's and buy a BWD brand coil pack for about $45, since I already had the old one out. Figure they'll probably will start going bad soon anyway. Sure enough I swapped in the new coil pack and the problem is 90% better. Still a slight mist occasionally, so...
I've got a 2005 Expedition XLT V8 5.4L with around 132,000 miles. I had a studder issue and code P0302 showed up. Long story short, I ended up spending $400 to have a shop replace all 8 plugs and the issue had appeared to be solved for the last 5,800 miles. Yesterday while being stuck behind a...
