i would buy the front coil overs but it always bothers me that if the shock goes bad can youjust replace that and not have to buy a complete shock andf spring?
i did all the research and saw what everyone is running. everything from 2 fans in an expensive shroud to 2 fans attached to the radiator..
well i pick the cheeper way. i bought 2 e fans and all the controls. the thermostat screws in to the top of the manifold. the wiring is all corect. but...
about a year ago i the air ride went to crap. so i went to the salvage yard and bought rear coils from a sameish year 4wd exp. then i went looking for shocks for the front. no matter where i looked i couldnt find a "bolt in" replacement shock, with out buying the after market coil over.
so...
sounds like when you hit the puddle something may have slide the bottom mount of the height sensor up. climb under the drivers side rear behind the tire. look up it is mounted from teh axle to the frame. it looks like a small shock with a dust boot. where is the bottom mount? it is adjustable in...
its funny that guys always complain about this. after i park my 00 i can hear the relay click and the rear airs out. i have mine lowered using the air suspension and sorta like it.
ok guys the drop you want is easy but the problem is getting the tire to not cock in. i have an 00 eddie bauer on full air. the front i just adjusted the torsion bars to teh ride i wanted. in the rear i used the air ride height adjuster and dropped it all the way down. i have no problems...
wow 5 hours at $90 an hour! thats what you get for living where its nice. i have a shop down the street that is the best around and they do full duals header back you bring the mufflers and tips and they only charge $200 to $250.
the exp is a different animal. if you have ever taken the front axle out of a front wheel drive car the exp is very similar. it uses "drive flanges" and unit bearings. if you wanted manual hubs youd have to swap f150 parts. and i dont know if they even came with them
i thought that 2h was the best. in my 00 eb i get better milage if i leave the 4wd fuse in and run in awd. i dont have the snazzy selector like the newer ones.
i guess im just getting new front. those are the ones that are bad. i might try having them turned but i heard that doesnt help for long.
were can i get a decent pair for a good price?
