07 trans temp gauge

hello, my father in law gave me a trans temp gauge he used on his old truck for towing. im looking to put it in my 07. im looking to find out if there is a sending unit i can tap into or do i need to buy something and install it? thanks guys.

there must be a wire, on my 01 just plugging in our tuner it gives us trans temp, alternatively you can add a b&m gauge with sending unit, taps into a tranny line, ran one in my jeep.

Don't think so on just a wire.
Like Bcmaxx stated, that's the B&M in my pic. The senders are normally 1/8 NPT.
I also think that some of the tuner/programmers (edge?) will display the trans temp. Just out of curiosity, what are you planning on towing.
