2003XLT 5.4L
3.73 limited slip

I have to drain and replace the fluid in my rear diff.
Per advice from MrTrain, I'm going to take the fill plug out before taking drain out!
I've already started the PBlaster treatment since it's old (like me).

Question:
What lubricant do you fill with?
Isnt there a TSB that says to use friction modifier?

What volume goes in there?
Do you use a turkey baster?
Any advice?

thanks in advance

Diff oil capacity -- 2.9-3.1L

Turkey baster to refill? Yeah, you can.

OK … backup plan to find out what I need to know
gotta get the job done somehow

I found 2 YouTube video's on changing the fluid.

As Hamfisted advised me in a different thread, since I have LSD, use the limited slip additive.

Looks like you fill it until it comes out the fill hole.

Thread locker on the fill plugs, guess I'll use blue.
3/8" ratchet.

found this in Owners Manual
