Hi! Got a 2009 EL and the LCD info display is really dim during the day. So dim it's hard to see.

The dimmer wheel doesn't do anything to it.

Anyone else have this problem or know of a fix?

Might just be me. :)

Thanks!

I do, but haven't come up with a specific fix.

I believe it to be similar to the 06+ crown Vic's in which there are solder joints on the cluster that have broken. The crown Vic guys have just recently figured out which resistors needed to be re flowed and have fixed the issue.. But obviously our clusters are different so I can't just post their fix here.

We had an 08 Taurus X that was the same way, and the 09 Navigator we have is the same way. I don't think anything is wrong, just not really bright enough to be seen in the day.

Mine flips bright to dim randomly. This is a known issue with alot of Ford clusters. Its the exact fix for each one that im not so sure has been figured out.
