2014 Dome light replacement

So if I am reading this correctly the lights over the middle row seats come completely out of the headliner?

I couldn't see how the lens would open so I started pulling down on the whole unit but was met with more resistance than I was willing to overcome without being sure.

No. The forward edge comes out/down. The rear edge stays attached. Sort of a hinge.

its been a while since i done mine, but the covers(lens) usually can be pried out with a plastic pry tool
I've been using osram ledriving leds for 2.5 years with no issues.
