2023 Roof rails - missing trim pieces?

Is there supposed to a trim piece to cover the welds under the roof rails?

Correct, there is nothing installed there to cover the welds.

I haven’t wanted to ask this, glad to know there’s nothing wrong there. Man that’s hideous though. (And yes, I’m 6’5” so I can see it each time I walk up to the car without being on a ladder.)

its odd too cause there are plastic tabs just sitting there like they should be held down.

Thanks for asking the question, been wondering the same thing. I had a peak on the dealer lot and they all had the welds exposed. Ford cheaper out.

My 2024 xlt just like yours. It doesn't bother me, though. I tend to focus more on functionality than appearance.

Are there supposed to be trim pieces under the bars on the roof? Sure looks like there are supposed to be. Even seems to have cut outs on the end for a piece to slide in to. At 6’7” I can see this every time I’m by my Expy. Don’t like looking at what appears to rivets/welds and the...
