Update today.

I disconnected the battery. Checked fuse 17 under the hood and that was good. Now the solenoids in the dash click when I start the expedition. But the 4x4 does not engage. The light doesn't come on for 4x4 hi. If I turn the selector to A4WD the light for that comes on. When I turn it to 4x4 hi it doesn't do anything. Im trying to remember the other fuses to check. I dont know what to check next.

I got a little confused when I was looking for it in mine. Plus I was in a hurry and didnt have time to think. So I just rushed out and this might be my mistake.

In your opinion, could having the transfer case shift motor pinned improperly cause my 4x4 shift solenoids to click like they are trying to shift into 4 wheel drive right after my expedition is started and the drive selector switch is in 2wd mode?
