6x135 or...

Howdy all,

Looking at buying some new wheels and I know about the 6x135, is there a equivalent in inches as well? I'm seeing some conflicting info, so wanted to ask the fam. Also, anything particular between hub centric or lug centric?

6x135 is what you need and idk what you’re talking about with hubcentric/lug centric. Those terms sound like things to look for in wheel spacers/ adapters

Thanks for the response. For instance, here's what comes up on Amazon, 6x135 / 6x5.5, but 5.5 comes out to 139.7. Am I overthinking this variance? These aren't what I'm after, I just want to know if I'm able to use 6x5.5 inches as a search parameter in addition to 6x135mm.

Many aftermarket wheels actually have two sets of lug holes drilled. i have Fuel wheels on my 07 EL that have have both bolt patterns. Maybe that is why Amazon lists both. 6x135 for Ford and I think 6x5.5 fit GM.

That is why the center cap is so ridonkulously big it covers the lugs so you don’t see the empty holes.

You want HUB centric wheels (the vast majority of wheels are) but with multi lug pattern wheels you can find lug centric wheels and you will need a hub centric ring that fills in the gap.

4 mm between the lug difference could be a problem putting on wheel. The cheaper wheels have multiple holes. I'd stay the course and find the 6x135mm wheels. If you go with F150 wheels, you'll have to cut a piece of the rear axle stub off. Again try to find Expedition wheels in 6x135mm for a bolt up fit.
