Do you mean the Teflon coated rims that are increasingly popular these days?

If you like the dark look, I don't see any cons.

I like 'em myself but they wouldn't look right on my truck.

As far as fading?... I don't think the Teflon coated wheels fade.

I don't want that rim, but that's the color I'm talking about. I'm not sure how it's painted black, and don't want them to chip or fade in a couple of years.

i'd say it depends on the quality of the paint job. if you're talking about a "black chrome" type of color, you could just get your stock wheels powdercoated. or any wheels, for that matter :D
