check engine soon light is on

The "check engine soon" light is on on my 99 expy, this problem seemed to occur every now and then. Last month same thing happened but after a few days it turned off. Is there a sensor that needs cleaning?

did you put a scanner on it to see if it was pulling a code?

my guess is O2 sensor going bad or COP about to go bad....

nope, i did not put anything on it... but it's just about the emission right? i mean there ain't nothing bad going on with the engine?

if you can't feel or hear anything different then no. but it dose seem like something is about to go out.

It can cause major issues depending on what it is bud.

Is there an autozone nearby? They check those for free and its a huge help, they even have online DIY manuals.
