Dilema - 18" vs 17"

I have a stock 03 Expy with the FX4 package that came with the chrome rims and 265/790/18 rims.

About 2 months ago I bought a set of F150 FX4 stock rims off an 05 F150 which are 18".

Discount Tire is concerned on the backspacing difference of I think 4mm. Also looks like in order to keep the relatively stock size tire of 31.6" in the 18, I would have to to go a 265/65/18 and of course the types of tires goes down with that size.

Has anyone done this conversion of wheels or can offer any advise if I should still stick with the F150 rims and go with the 265/65/18 tires?

Any info you guys can give me would be a big help!

Should have said the truck came stock with 265/70/18 tires.

so are both sets of rims 18" because your title says 18" Vs. 17"????

so if this is correct a 265/70r18= 32.6"x10.4"
a 265/65r18= 31.6"x10.4"

so they would only be 1" difference... but use this web site for more
