Do you need to install coil spring isolators when installing coil springs in the rear of a 2001 ford expedition? I'm doing the air to coil conversion.

Ok, I was just wondering because I was watching the install video on strutmasters and then don't install one. Also the kits don't come with them.

i think the purpose behind the isolator was to reduce rattling. i believe there was too much play between the spring and frame or something and that was the need for the isolator.

the idea for the isolator is to reduce wear for the upper spring mount... they come from the factory as rubber but energy suspension has poly ones as well
