Door security code

I just purchased my 2004 Expedition and was wondering if the security code to unlock the doors via the keypad on the drivers door was located somewhere inside the car. I know in my Explorer it was located on the inside of the the rear panels inside the trunk area? Thanks

Is located by the passenger side.,right underneath the globe box. Is a 5 digit number.

FYI - you may be able to ask the Ford dealer what the code is. They can look it up through the VIN. A word of caution, though, when I purchased my 2011 used from the dealer, the number they had in their system was incorrect. Not sure if the correct number was imprinted in the area mentioned above or not, but they did eventually get the right code for me.

The following was copied from the 2004 Ford Owners Manual

KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM
With the keyless entry keypad, you can:
• lock or unlock the vehicle doors without using the key,
• release the liftgate glass,
• enable or disable the autolock function, and
• add or delete a 5–digit personal user code.
Your vehicle has a factory set 5–digit code that operates the keyless
entry system. You can also program your own 5–digit personal entry
code. The factory-set code is located:
• on the owner’s wallet card in the glove compartment,
• at your dealer,
• or on the module located under
the right-hand side of the
instrument panel, adjacent to the
passenger compartment fuse
panel.
Note: The 5–digit code (e.g. 12345)
will be in large, BOLD numbers on
the module label.
When pressing the controls on the keyless entry keypad, press the
middle of the controls to ensure a good activation

On my 2003, you can see the code without having to remove any panels.
