Front bumper alignment

So I've been noticing that my front bumper isn't as tight to the body as others I see. Check it out:

What do you think? Is there enough slop in the bumper attachment so I could slide it up? Or is there some kind of other "problem" going on here?

I honestly have wondered the same as my '98 has the same problem, and my wife's '05 is tight. I thought at first it was from a body lift bit after looking closer at the body mounts there was no lift. So I'm curious myself as to what the cause of this gap is.

yes adjustments can be made at the mounting points,

should be easy to find just checking underneath

I got rid of my gap by making my bumper holes bigger. One thing i noticed is if you jack up the rear rt or left side the opposite front gap will get closer due to frame flexing. So with steal bumpers, Im sure this is why ford did this and not with the newer expys and there plastic bumpers. I have never had a problem with mine hitting my grill but i also don't go 4x mine.
