Front Camera Activation

So I saw another thread where a similar issue (or negative feature) was noted
The front camera doesn’t seem to turn on until you are more or less on top of the object in front of you. It seems it’s only turning on where it’s already too close for my comfort. I am just turning on the cameras manually through the screen, but curious if folks have the same situation and or know if there is a reprogram to change distance

there's a button for that.
but without more context on what you're driving it's hard to tell you where to find it.
not sure about reprogramming the parking sensor distance, but i don't want it to pop up with stop and go traffic

I wish it came on about 2 feet sooner, for sure.

The solution would be a icon on the main screen you can just push. For the computer to determine is not easy.
How does it know you are parking or pulling up to another car at a light. Its not an easy problem to fix but I think Ford Engineers did a good job. Not perfect but good.
