are you sure its gas and not a leak in the rear and fender well filling with water? mud or some other object may have clogged the drain hole.

Sounds like a large container of fluid sloshing around coming from the back on the passengers side. Definitely not coolant or oil. I do not have a sun roof so no drainage holes to leak.

Doesn't have to come from sun roof, any window seal could be leaking or some other entry point.
Tap on the lower panels on each side, see if one sounds like its full of water.

Check the rear passenger side door and make sure the drain holes are open. The lower part of the door could be full of water.
