Hi guys,

I am getting a used tranny for my 2004 Expedition 4r75w) as far as I know I can also put 4r75E from newer trucks including F-150....before pulling the trigger the seller told me that it is the right tranny...However since I will be traveling 150 miles for it I need to make sure it is correct....anyone know how to identify a tranny

The tranny Id no I got from the transmission is RF-6l3p-7006-aa

Thank you guys... :)

A 4r75e will not work. The e is electronic controlled and the w is not. I have mine in the shop and they said it won't work so I'm just building up the 4r75w and getting a new torque converter custom made.

Thank you, I just clarify that either with Ford mechanics...looks like W uses 1 speed sensor and the E has 2, if you unhook the turbine speed sensor, the truck will go to limp mode.
