Is there a POWERFUL, high-spec android head unit option?

I mean something on par with Galaxy Tab S3....AMOLED screen, fullHD x265 1080p capable SOC like Snapdragon 820+, etc.

Any such options? Or any software/connector kits that allow you to splice in your own tablet????

A generic tablet from 2010 had a single core 500 MHz rockchip processor. Things have changed significantly.

On a 7 inch screen (assuming that's what you're wanting) there's no visual difference between 1080 and 600 resolution.
