I was looking at getting a K&N Oil filter but wondering if it is a waste of money or worth it. Anyone know anything about them?

Stick with Motorcraft. I'm pretty sure the K&N is made by Champion labs, which makes Purolator, which makes the Motorcraft one. If you look at the filters, a lot of the "good" ones will look like the Motorcraft one. Granted, the K&N one does have that nut which would make it easier to replace.

Don't get Fram.

i agree walnuts on the air filter but as far as i know, you cant just rinse out an oil filter. maybe you can and im just not up to date.
i also agree with elvato, i wish all oil filters had that nut on there to make it easier to replace. my last oil change i went synthetic....

K&N has a recharge kit... a spray that u put on it and let it soak into the filter then rinse with low pressure cool water, and then let it air dry only... then spray on new oil.... just did mine last week
