Im always watching the tach and glancing at the gauges. ford brought the true tachometer and “fake oil pressure” gauge back for the 2018 units. Those are only missing in 15-17 units.

The beauty of an automatic transmission is ignoring the tach and letting the transmission shift for itself. I guess if it's not up-shifting when towing one could help it by lifting off the throttle for a second but the transmission typically picks the most suitable gear. Where's the rev limiter on this engine? It's 8400 on my other car with the manual gearbox and a tach is necessary.

As stated it does not really show oil pressure, it just indicates if there is pressure or not, it doesn”t show how much pressure, the gauge only has 2 positions, 0 or about 70%. If you need or want to know the actual pressure you need to fit an aftermarket gauge..
Only 2 positions? Seems that the extreme high should be one too. High oil pressure can be as bad as low. Has anyone see the pressure get closer to the H?

only 2 positions like a dummy light. It's either on or off.
