My wife and I are in the process of ordering a 2018 Expedition. Its going to be a Limited Max 4x4 with the standard 20" rims. I want to put 285/70r17s on the Expedition with some aftermarket rims. As long as I keep the tires tucked in, does anyone think this combo will work? The tires will be Goodyear Duratracs.

Thanks in advance.

I’m in the same situation. Looked at the brake parts, and they are same as my 2010 F150.

I’d expect my F150 take offs that I use for winter with 265/75/17 will also fit the Expedition I have ordered. My F150 has 20s as stock.

I'm pretty certain the 17" rims will fit, I think I'm going to have a bigger problem with the tire size while turning and hitting a bump. I really don't want to take a grinder to a brand new vehicle again

Just lift it. Readylift 3/2. $400 and call it a day

It will get lifted eventually but I am not using spacers. I think Im just going to use 18s unfortunately with a 275/65r18 because I know those will fit.

Everyone is entitled to their person opinion.
Good luck, they don’t make anything other than spacers for 16+ Ex’s

Yeah they are only available for the front so I’m betting there’s a spacer in the rear. Other thing is, they probably had to do some modification because the picture shown on their website is only for f150s and the bolt that holds the lower control arm to the strut is incorrect for newer mode years. 2014+ expeditions have two bolts that run vertically through the LCA, this only shows one running horizontally so I doubt they were able to bolt them right on. Spacers do no harm to the suspension and I dont see why you would waste $1500 on two coil overs when it does the same thing as a spacer. Unless you move every suspension component up like a $2500 lift kit would, it would t matter using these coil overs or saving $1100 and using a set of quality spacers
