pressure release valve

Good aternoon I would like to ask if there is a pressure release valve on my 2000 expy 4.6 2wd cooling system? It hasn't overheated yet but I was wondering if it does, how do you release the pressure safely and quickly so you could add coolant and be on your way? Traffic here is terrible I am afraid to use the a/c when I am in traffic (1 bour ) stop and go sometimes standstill. Thank you very much!

Other than the cap, nope. If you do over heat, you're not going to want to open it right away either.

The cap vents at 17 or 18 PSI I think
