Has anybody put newer ford 18 inch rims on 2nd gen Expedition, 2 wheel drive? Was it OK?

Bolt pattern and and bore OK. Offsets are same: 44 mm. 275/60R18 diameter is close to 265/70R17 I have now so speedometer OK.

But, wheel is 1 inch wider. Will I need 1/2 in spacer to maintain inside clearance?

Spacer changes scrub radius so my alignment guy says it will under steer, but I don't expect Expedition to be nimble. Any input would be helpful.

Thanks in advance

No just throw them on. You will be fine and won't notice much of a difference they're only 1 inch bigger and wider. Not like your going from factory to 24s or bigger‍:33:
