Does anyone know if the 2nd gen expeditions have rev limiters?

I believe all vehicles would have rev limiters from the factory ?!? Keeps someone from destroying the motor.

Just asking because I noticed that mine won't rev any further then 3500 rpm while in park/ neutral. Fortunately no problem with acceleration. Just curious!

This post reminds me of when I broke my tranny.

I set my rev limiter (in gear) to 6,500 thinking I would never hit it as I have the shift point set at 5,600. Well when I broke my tranny drag racing a couple years ago it scared the poop out of me as the motor was then free to rev. If she wasn't built fairly sure I would have launched a piston out of the block. Lowered it to 6,000 since then.. :/
