RPM at speed

I never noticed before or something new has happened. Above 55-60 mph the tach shows about 1600rpm. Just above 70 the tech shows just under 2000rpm.

I use the OD button enough to know the lock up is functioning properly.

Wheres yours at?

285/55/18- close to stock diameter (275/60/17) as possible. At any speed the speedo is 1 mph behind the GPS.

I haven't really paid much attention to the 55-60 range, but for the 70 mph, it's about where you have yours. 75ish mph is about 2000 RPM, except when it's windy, then 2000 RPM is 70ish.

I usually drive at 80ish, which is just above the 2000 RPM marker.

I have stock size tires (forget the exact size). 2003 4.6 with 3.73 (I think.) I think my speedo is about 2 mph too fast.
