Has anyone repositioned the subwoofer in a Gen1 EB? Plan on installing a double-DIN receiver and speaker upgrade this summer. I place two crates side-by-side in the back to haul bird dogs. I'd like to reposition the subwoofer so it's not thumping in their ears on those 1000 plus mile hunting trips.

Find the factory signal wire to turn the amp on. Put a switch inline.

Might be able to turn the sub off from the radio though.

Guess an inline switch would work as a last resort. Thought about building a box and installing it under the back seat...don't know if that would be the best place for it though?

no one has done that...and the sub doesn't get that much power so it shouldn't bother the animals or ppl that will sit back there...unless someone before upgraded the sub and amp....the rear factory sub isn't in a regular box in the rear...you could always unplug the amp...but I HIGHLY doubt it will be a bother or nuisance...
