Stock Tire Size?

Hi, my father bought the expedition in '03 (so we had it for about 11 years now) and now it's my responsibility, but i did notice something about it. there seems to be a larger gap between the wheels and wheel well. I was wondering if it were just my tires that are small or if they came like that stock. The tires are 255/70 R16 (Michelins)

they are stock. at least that's what MY expy calls for. check your door sticker for more information on the tire size.

go to ford ETIS site and enter your vin number you will be able to get a read-out of what was on the expy when it was built

The door sticker will show you the tire size and pressure.
