They look the same. Kinda weird that all the websites make 2014-2017 seem like different ones.

They could be different. Keep in mind how much the electronics have changed and how many things have been added to the CanBus network. Yes even bulb wiring/sockets are different for any bulb that is can monitored. Ill look into the difference and report back

Looks like only the front bulb has changed for the 15/16. The rear remains the same so I would imagine the manufacturer for the led tails just hasnt updated it yet. Front and rear fitment posted below. Dimensions for the tails alone should be good

It's kinda random that not a single website or Amazon listing or eBay Listing says that 14-17 will work with the 07-12 tail lights.
I even emailed a few eBay sellers and they replied and said they will not work on a 16. Thoughts?

I've been looking at the LED tail lights but honestly what I don't like about them is the LED panels don't look like they provide much side view. They seem too close to the back of the lens to give any side view light. The installation instructions say that you use your bulb sockets and connect them to the tail light pigtails that they provide. It essentially looks the the end of the bulb with wires going into the tail lights to power the LEDs, you still have to use your incandescent backup bulb.

I'm seriously considering just replacing the bulbs with LEDs but I am concerned about getting the hyperflashing issue. I know that you can change the flasher unit but I haven't figured out what I need if any.

Check out diode dynamics if you do decide to go with bulbs. I'm actually thinking about building my own led panels to retro into these but haven't had much time to get stock together.
