Tranny/Transfer Case Noise

I will simply say that I have had this problem for years on my 2000 Expy (built in 1999). I have found no solution. I have mostly retired the Expy.

BUT, I have seen a slightly out of tune engine mistaken for this.

I had a cop misfire before so i know this is not it.

I am thinking i am having the same problem but i can't tell if its in the front or rear?
exact noise as described by Mr. Chesterfoxes.
so my question is how do i determine if its in the front or rear of the vehicle and
what doest the kit cost
is it something i can get from napa etc
what if any special tools do i need.

Please advise.
