So my sub sounds like poop lately, and its a good sub too its a JL W1v2-8 inch

I know its small and I shouldnt expect much but even for songs lie marvins room it sounds like garbage! is it really the amp that makes it sound that bad or is it that hole in the back of the box? Just need someone to tell me whats up because christmas is comming soon and I can get some stuff if I need to.

I have a pioneer headunit also if it matters

screw it nevermind I got a bolt and plugged the hole/ better soundproofing and it sounds good now

Yeah if you're going for a sealed enclosure, leaks will make it sound like garbage. You want the box to be as "leak-free" as possible. Also, cutting a hole in the back does not make it ported/vented. It makes it sound like poop. Glad to hear you got it fixed.
