Anybody out there that has had the rearend problems? What did it sound like?

I have a whining sound coming from the drive train that concerns me. It gets bad at 45MPH and goes higher in pitch as you increase in speed. But it only does it when I step on the gas. If I let off and coast it stops.

Oops I forgot,

I have an 03 EB EXPY. But I am looking for any year Expy that had the problem to compare the symptoms to.

I had the exact same problem with my 2003 EB Expedition 4X4. TSB 02-25-7, whisch adds an "s" spring to the front differential, fixed it, plus the dealer replaced the rear differential due excessive wear on the ring and piston gears. Noise is gone now.

Excellent! That is what I am looking for. I will be bringing it in on Monday for repairs.
It only has 5,000 miles on it, so hopefully it didn't do to much damage.
Thanks for the TSB #.
