I wanna do this to my truck as well, On the 1st gen the space where the air goes between the bumper, I want to weld a plate strong enough to be able to weld a jeep front reciever in there. Ive measured it out a couple of times and think it would work. Just got to get the balls to start it

Front hitch Searching too

I recently purchased a 2007 Expedition 4x4, Eddie Bauer as a replacement for my ’72 F100. Car Max fixed the normal “Paint Issue” found in most Ford vehicles. Other than that it is a great machine. With less cargo space than my mini-van when transporting 6 or more people, I have looked into exterior methods of cargo spaces. I am looking into the Curt front hitch assembly for my fishing rods and cooler when at the beach. Curt claims that some alterations to the valiance will be needed for proper assembly. I am looking for pictures to see just how much cutting is required. Google the your vehicle information with “front hitch” and you will find better prices than JCW.

Now does anyone have any pictures of the hitch mounted?

Check to see if CURT makes one for your truck, you can't go wrong there.

The bolts they supply are plenty long enough to handle your receiver and tow hooks.

"some alterations to the valiance will be needed for proper assembly"

This is just a rubber screen, no biggy, you mount the CURT then put it back on as best you can, or not. The CURT mounts upside down and pokes out through the middle area in the bumper.
