Well, as I said, my lifted expy is gone and in its place is this 97 4x4 4.6L....oh and the keys reside in my son's pant pocket not mine but here she is. Only mods so far are a new stereo and alarm. The rims and tires HAVE to go and some interior trim pieces are going to be replaced, but it was a fleet vehicle for almost all it's life and it seems very well maintained (other than the $400 I just spent fixing a door lock cylinder problem)

Oh and one side note...what the hell happened at photobucket? I just uploaded these pics and found that 90% of my other pics had been removed for violating terms of service. Really, a picture of my trucks wheel is offensive? A ball joint and a rag are offensive? My mustang sitting in the driveway is offensive? I'd hate to see what would photobucket would do if I uploaded the pics of the naked 10 year olds washing and waxing my car. Jeez....seriously....anybody else experience a rash of cancelled photos for no sense or purpose whatever?

The 4.6 is NOT fast but my last truck, even tho it had a 5.4 with headers, exhaust and custom tune still had the factory 3.31 gears turning 35 inch rubber so I long ago gave up my concept of power and speed. Gas mileage? I went 270 miles today and used half a tank of gas, (that does not seem realistic but the gauge works so) but then again, this seems to have a huge tank (don't know the size) but my last tank was 22gal, this morning I had a 1/3 tank of gas and still put in 22.5 gallons to fill it up so.....I don't know

Anyway, a year from now when my son is (hopefully) a better driver and learns to drive a stick, I'll get him something else for college and I'll use this again for me and the girls...THEN the customizing (read massive lifting) begins

i think its a good lookin truck. im pretty sure it has a 26 gal tank. but thats awesome 270 miles on half tank. i dont even get that on full tank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my truck has a 30 gal tank i think. ive drained it b4 almost andput in 28 gals. so im guessing its a 30 gal. plus she was a drug runner into mexico b4 we got her from the government. so we had to put in a new tank, where the drugs were, and i think its a 30 gal. but my gauge dose that so dont trust it. 1st quarter 100 miles 2nd quarter 100 miles last half 100 miles. so thats 300 miles. dont trust the gauge. trust the miles u put on it. but nice truck anyways. 4.6 have worce gas mileage if they're 4x4. so dont exspect to get a lot.
