Rear Camera Washer

I have a 2019 Platinum Expedition and my rear camera washer is not spraying. The sprayer for the wiper is spraying, but not the camera. I believe it is leaking inside of the lift gate. I know it is under warranty but it'll be a week or so until I get it in. I tried to take the satin "EXPEDITION" off the rear but it is hanging on near where the camera is. My question is, how do I access this camera without breaking?

I’m pretty sure it only sprays when you have the camera active (i.e. vehicle in Reverse). The front one is the same. Must have the camera showing on the screen and you can see it spray.

Nope. Sprays whenever you use the window washers.

Built in bidet? Damnit, you must have a ‘19 because that wasn’t available on my ‘18.

Correct. When you trigger the rear washer it washes the rear camera, and when you trigger the front washer it washes the front camera.

It’s a great way to clear the back camera when it’s raining.

It would be pretty stupid to need to be in reverse to wash the camera....lol.

Apparently I’m stupid so sorry for my post. I just assumed that’s the only time it actually works because the camera is never clean on mine unless I hit the rear washer when in reverse or the front ones when I pull into the garage with the front cameras pulled up.

I assumed it worked like headlight washers on our Grand Cherokee by only spraying them when they are on.

Ignore my stupidity.

Also note that if your wipers are in AUTO mode, and they are activated (by rain) and you put the expy in reverse the rear wiper will activate and clear the window.
