Anyone know of a custom fit carpeted floor mat that will cover the cargo area of a 2019 Expedition MAX up to the second row bench seat? I checked with a couple vendors and contacted Lloyd, but no luck so far. My ideal protection configuration would be a carpeted mat that I could roll back to accommodate occasional use of the 3rd row seat.

I just make stuff like that.
Get a big piece of cardboard and make a template.
Then use that to cut carpet to shape.

Maybe not for you, that's OK! It works well. Just an idea.

I have a weather tech in my 2nd row bench and haul 3rd row kids quite a bit. 3rd row flips up without issue. One un planned bonus the weather tech mat is stiff enough that it stands up against thr back of the 3rd row then folds over making for a hidden trunk space you can’t see. With the black interior you can’t see squat back there.

Thanks for your reply. I wish had your skills! But honestly, that shouldn't be my only option. I am only looking for a carpeted cargo mat similar to what I have had in 3 previous full-size GM SUVs.

Thanks for your reply. So the WT extended cargo mat does not prevent you from flipping up the 3 row? When the mat folds over does it block your view through the rear window?

It doesn’t prevent the 3rd row from tipping up. And it curls over just below the seat back so it stays below the window. I’ll try to post a photo

I also use a weathertech cargo mat in the back of my XLT Max and let it fold over when using my 3rd row of seats. See pic.

What seat canvas backing is that? I should probably do something similar.

I’d say forget the carpet. I am constantly gluing small bits of it back in place on my 2008. If I wasn’t such a cheap screw I’d spring for a weather tech mat set.

I also used Canvasback covers:

Very helpful to keep clean even with dogs.

Let me add another vote for Canvasback. I’ve had mine installed for a year in the trunk and on the back of the second row. Very happy.

I got mine with the cutouts for the cargo bins in the trunk and it’s great. If I had known then what I know now, I would also probably have bought the piece that flips out to cover the bumper.

I also got the cutouts for the bins and also asked them to make sure they had cutouts for the d-rings as well. They did not get it lined up just right the first time but they were great to work with to get it just right (shipping back and forth).

I also got the bumper flaps for both the canvasback and weathertech mat just in case I need to keep the weathertech mat out for some reason.

I only went with the weather tech rear mat and simple flip down button on flap. I think its enough so far. My dog tends to be pretty easy on things so I haven’t had any wear issues. If I were hauling debri back there the Canvas setup hands down is the way to go.

The flip down cover for the tailgate/bumper. Is great helps protect the hatch seal, keep loose dirt out of the latch and protects the bumper etc.
