Looks like I have a coolant leak boys! Dealer cant get me in until the 25th. Looks like its coming from more than a hose/fitting...perhaps the water pump is spitting?. Overflow tank is empty, gonna fill it up and not drive it until I drive her to the dealers 10 min away.

I have a leak too but nowhere near that bad. A few quarts every ~4 miles. Crusty coolant stains under the water pump but maybe elsewhere too. At the dealer currently but it's also in for the transmission.

Looks to be the coolant lines that feed the transmission heat exchanger.

JL3Z8A519D - $41.17
JL3Z6A715C - $112.33

Good luck, those are the cheap hoses. Don't hold your breath as many here have been told that coolant hoses are not covered. If they cover it, throw a party.

Indeed we will see! Ill update this after dealer has looked at it on the 25th thx
You can't drive it but the dealer can't look at for 10 days? Try another dealer. Where in Mass are you?

Theres no Ford dealers in my area that can take it before the 25th. Im on the northshore/Peabody area. Every time I make an appt ( for anything) they are weeks out . Just shows that the service departments are always swamped because of the trash quality of ford vehicles

I still have family in Melrose. Anyway Rodman Ford across from the stadium in Foxboro or Tasca Ford just over the line in RI are real good. Admittedly they aren't real close to you but were it me I'd drive it or ramp it to one of those two if they will assure you they can get right on it.

I was told by my local shop that if you can’t get to a dealer 30 ish miles that Ford will let shops do the work and warranty it. Literally just talked to my local guy great shop does some difficult jobs perfectly etc. In my case two Ford dealers in a 12 mile radius. So no dice.

But could be worth exploring if you have a top notch local shop and your SOL for a local Dealer

Yeah, don't count on the ESP warranty covering the hoses. At the bottom of their PremiumCare brochure it lists those item not covered and "hoses" are listed under the 'Repairs Related to Your Maintenance Requirements' and are not covered under warranty. But, can't hurt to ask/insist.

My dealer quoted $700 plus for the heater core hoses. Did them myself and in an hour or two and saved hundreds. I can't imagine it would be much better for this situation.

Thx for the post.

What state was this dealer in that quoted $700? (Maryland?) I live in Massachusetts and prices are high here compared to other lower states so Im scared mines could be double that...

Id be accepting if its less than $1000 for hoses/lines. If its much cheaper than $1000 then I might ask them tonreplace the T-stat too with the updated one..

Depends also on which hoses you need. They are all expensive, but some are more than others, and some are harder to get at than others. My $1200 included the rear heater hose and the T stat, which I'd already purchased.

I have a 2021. Just had the water pump gasket replaced after my wife heard some bubbles in the dash. Also found a leak in the thermostat housing after the gasket replacement so that got replaced too.
